STAPLETON LEADS CMA AWARDS NOMS

Chris Stapleton has received five nominations for the 52nd Annual CMA Awards while Dann Huff has four. Another nine acts received three each.

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Janson, Miranda Lambert, Midland, Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban received three each.

Seven-time winner Stapleton is up for Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year (“Broken Halos”), Album of the Year (From A Room: Volume 2), Song of the Year (“Broken Halos”) and Male Vocalist of the Year.

The other Entertainer of the Year nominees are Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney and Urban.

Huff, a 31-time nominee with three wins for Musician of the Year and two wins for Single of the Year, received a Single nom for producing Midland’s “Drinkin’ Problem,” is nominated twice in the Album category (Urban’s Graffiti U and Thomas Rhett’s Life Changes) and is up for Musician of the Year.

The 52nd Annual CMA Awards will be held 11/14 Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and broadcast on ABC. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood return for an 11th year as hosts.
