U.K. MIDWEEKS: DRAKE DANCES TO #1

Thanks in part to viral video-based dance craze #DoTheShiggy, Drake’s “In My Feelings” (Island) has risen to #1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, where Ariana Grande looks set to claim the highest new entry at #5. Over on albums, that title is currently held by The Vamps at #1.

If “In My Feelings” holds onto its position come Friday, the track will become Drake’s fifth U.K. #1, three of which have been claimed in 2018 alone.

Grande is currently #5 with “God is a woman” (Island), while 5 Seconds of Summer have risen three places to #8 with “Youngblood” (Capitol). Tiesto f/Dzeko, Preme and Post Malone’s “Jackie Chan” (Virgin EMI) is also up two places to #10. Further down, Childish Gambino starts at #31 with “Summertime Magic” (Columbia).

Over on the Official Albums midweek charts, The Vamps have knocked Drake from the top spot with The Day Edition (Virgin EMI) of their 2017 #1 album, Night & Day (The Night Edition), shifting 22k sales at the halfway point—10k sales ahead of Scorpion.

Rick Astley starts at #3 with Beautiful Life (BMG), while the Mamma Mia—Here We Go Again soundtrack (Polydor) enters at #5.

Black Flame (Music for Nations) from British metalcore group Bury Tomorrow could become their highest charting release at #11, The Hunna’s sophomore album, Dare (High Time), is currently at #13, and Not3s’ second EP, Take Not3s II (Relentless), starts at #15.
