ERIC CHURCH'S "DESPERATE" MOVE

“Desperate Man,” Eric Church’s new single, is available to his fan club, the Church Choir, today, and will be released wide on Friday. EMI Nashville will release his next album, also titled Desperate Man, on 10/5.

Church co-wrote “Desperate Man,” with Ray Wylie Hubbard; Jay Joyce produced. In a grainy video, Church told the fan club, “It’s been a while; I just want to say I have missed you. I have good news…the album is done, and we are back.”

It’s the second time Church has preached to the choir before venturing out in public. His 2015 single “Mr. Misunderstood” was also released to fans without interviews or promotion.

Church says, "Everyone is so focused on your first week. But I am more concerned with week 80 than week one.''
