BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS RATINGS PLUNGE IN KEY DEMO

The Billboard Music Awards fell to a new ratings low with the crucial 18-49 viewership, according to overnight reads, with a 2.1 rating and 7m total audience; the show lost viewers in the demo by 10% and overall eyeballs by 9%. The trophyfest, in its first airing on NBC, won the night amid overall declining viewership by the most coveted audience segment. Rumors that John Amato (who's renowned for his editing skills) plans to fix the awards by hosting a live feed from Jones Beach couldn’t be confirmed at presstime.
