HISTORY-MAKING OCCURRENCES

Here are two things that have never happened before, as far as we can tell:

Over the weekend, Republic had 18 of the Top 20 on Spotifycharts.com’s daily global chart. That’s primarily because of Post Malone’s beerbongs & bentleys, which accounts for 14 of those tracks, along with Drake (two in the Top 5), Ariana Grande and The Weeknd. As of Monday, 16 of the Top 20 belong to Republic.

And have you noticed that the top three songs on the Mediabase Pop chart are all country collaborations? Those would be Zedd and Maren Morris on “The Middle” (Columbia Nashville/Interscope) at #1, Camila Cabello and Kane Brown on “Never Be the Same” (SYCO/Epic) at #2 and Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line on “Meant to Be” (BMLG/WBR) at #3.
