A "SOBER" ASSESSMENT

Steve Greenberg is enjoying his first #1 smash at Alternative radio in 20 years. Yep, the S-Curve boss, the guy who (spoiler alert) let the dogs out, manages sibling trio AJR, whose "Sober Up" recently summited the Modern Rock chart. "Life in Mono" by Mono hit #1 on the format chart in 1998, when Greenberg was at Mercury.

"Sober Up," from AJR's full-length The Click (AJR Productions/BMG) and featuring a guest vocal from Rivers Cuomo, has also been enjoying impressive streams. The track first broke through at KTCL Denver, thanks to PD Nerf, and was then championed by fellow iHeart programmer John Allers at WRFF Philly, after which the word got out nationwide.

All of which would be unabashedly great news for Steve, if only he didn't have to read about it on this vercockte website.

As for heeding the song's title, we expect to sober up significantly once these weed-infused gummi bears wear off.
