U.K. CHARTS: BRIT WINNERS ON THE RISE

The BRIT Award winners seeing the biggest sales surge since the ceremony include Dua Lipa (Warner Bros.), Rag’n’Bone Man (Columbia) and Stormzy (#Merky), while The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) and Drake (Island) are still hogging the #1 albums and singles spots, respectively.

Two-time BRIT winner Lipa is up eight places to reach a new peak of #3 on the U.K’s Official Albums Chart with her self-titled debut, while her latest single “IDGAF” rises one place on singles to #3.

Rag’n’Bone Man, who won British Single for “Human," climbs eight places to #4 on albums with his debut of the same name. After a British promo trip that took in a number of TV appearances including a brief presenting stint at the BRITs, Camila Cabello is up nine places to #5 with Camila (Syco).

Stormzy, who had an excellent night Wednesday, winning Best British Male and Album of the Year for debut Gang Signs & Prayer, saw an 89% combined sales surge to renter the Top 10 at #10. The record has just been certified platinum with 300k sales.

Best International Male winner Kendrick Lamar lifts seven places to #14 with DAMN. (Polydor), while nominated acts Liam Gallagher and J Hus have also climbed the charts. As You Were (Warner Bros.) is up seven to #17; Common Sense (Black Butter) jumps eight to #23.

The Greatest Showman soundtrack leads the Official Albums Chart for a seventh week, while this week’s highest new entry goes to The Temperance Movement, whose third album, A Deeper Cut (Earache), opens at #6.

Over on the Official Singles Chart, Drake is still king with “God’s Plan” enjoying its best streaming performance yet with 7.6m plays resulting in a fifth week at the summit. Rudimental are still #2 with “These Days” (Asylum) f/Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen. Portugal. The Man rises two places to #4 with “Feel It Still” (Atlantic) and “All The Stars” by Kendrick Lamar and Sza rockets six places to #5, awarding Lamar his highest charting single in Blighty as a lead artist.
