NOT BORING

Hard to say which was cooler—putting the most powerful rocket ever built gracefully back on its launchpad after sending it into space, or putting a Tesla roadster with the stereo playing Bowie’s “Space Oddity” into deep orbit. Either way, Elon Musk isn’t just a billionaire inventor/entrepreneur—he’s a rock star.

As Musk stated prior to pulling off this monumental feat with his SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket and midnight cherry-red Tesla Roadster Tuesday, “anything boring is terrible, especially companies, so we decided to send something unusual, something that made us feel.”

Bowie couldn't have said it better himself.
