Justin Timberlake has released his fifth studio album, Man of the Woods (RCA), the same week the superstar headlines the Super Bowl LII halftime show in Minneapolis.
Shortly after its release, the set flew to #1 at iTunes.
Since the album's title inadvertently led many to speculate the singer was moving in a new musical direction, JT took to Instagram yesterday to set the record straight ahead of release. “The album is named after my son," he explained. "His name means ‘of the woods.' Stop telling me I’m making a country album!”
The album's lead single "Filthy" is now Top 15 airplay at T40, followed by the singles "Supplies" and a Chris Stapleton collaboration, "Say Something," which is now sitting at #1 on the iTunes singles chart. The complete album has 16 tracks and also includes a feature from Alicia Keys.
Timberlake's Man of the Woods tour kicks off 3/13 in Toronto.
