Island/DCD2 rockers Fall Out Boy have returned with their seventh studio album, MANIA, which instantly shot to #1 at iTunes. As a result, the label's David Massey and Eric Wong—seen below with band members Andy Hurley, Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz—can't stop kvelling.
FOB fans have been patiently waiting for this record, after the release was pushed last September. Explaining the delay on social media, front man Stump wrote, "i know we're supposed to come up with some really exciting story to spin in pull quotes about how the studio exploded and i ran in to save Pete's bass or something or like aliens stole the master tape—that would be fun for sure. But the truth is we just want the record to be better than we can make it in the next couple weeks and it will require a little more time."
The band will celebrate the release with a special acoustic performance at Amoeba Records in Hollywood on Tuesday, 1/23, before kicking off the international leg of the MANIA tour. Their Crush Music team will try to forget how close the Amoeba gig is to the HITS offices.
