Our most recent print edition (issue #1234, as it happens, perpetuating the illusion that we can count) features two covers and two Contents VIPs, though doubling down scarcely conceals the fact that we're half-wits.
First the covers: The biz is talking about Fox's The Four, thanks to judges Charlie Walk, Diddy, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor. While the show has struggled for ratings traction, it’s certainly got lips flapping among music insiders. Still, all Four (and host Fergie) wish they could vote themselves off the cover of our tone-deaf publication.
Meanwhile, Island/DCD2’s Fall Out Boy are set to drop their new full-length, MANIA, ahead of a big world tour, as single “Hold Me Tight or Don’t” moves at radio. The band’s prospects are glowing—but they can't possibly relish the fallout of appearing on our radioactive rag.

Now to our celebrated Contents page VIPs. Both Ron Perry and Tom Corson have begun splashy new gigs at storied labels—as Chairman of Columbia and Co-Chairman/COO of Warner Bros., respectively— and their tenures have gotten underway amid a major realignment at the top of the biz. The two execs are being watched closely as they ponder personnel and other moves; we’re pretty sure they’d both like to start by axing their HITS Contents page shout-outs.
