LIVE NATION ADDS A ROOM IN SAN FRAN

Live Nation will handle the booking at August Hall, a live music and special event venue opening in the spring in San Francisco. The venue, formerly Ruby Skye, is in the Native Sons of the Golden West building at 420 Mason St.

In addition to the venue, which will have a concert capacity of 750 and allow 1,000 patrons for dance events, a cocktail lounge with three bowling lanes, Fifth Arrow, will be opening with it.

"August Hall is an exciting opportunity for all of us at Live Nation San Francisco to once again be part of a memorable and special destination for live entertainment in San Francisco,” said Jodi Goodman, President at Live Nation Northern California. “At August Hall, much like The Fillmore, the attention to detail, passion and care for the fan experience will resonate for both the artists and their fans for years to come.

"August Hall is destined to become an iconic, must-visit venue in the Bay Area and we look forward to releasing an inspiring schedule of shows in the coming months."

In San Francisco, Live Nation already books The Fillmore and The Masonic.

Club owner Nate Valentine was behind the conversion, who brought in Chad Donnelly and Scott Murphy, who run the SnowGlobe music festival in Lake Tahoe, as business partners.

Designed by Britt Hull of the Tide Design Co. and Parisa O'Connell Interior Design, the venue will have theater-style stage and expansive main floor, surrounded by an open balcony, wrap-around grand mezzanine and new sound system from d&b audiotechnik.

It will share a lobby with Fifth Arrow, housed in a former 1930s prohibition speakeasy.
