SXWORKS IS WORKING

SoundExchange topper Michael Huppe has announced the appointees to the Board of Directors of its new sister company SXWorks, including reps from the three biggest major pubcos.

The publisher board members are Peter Brodsky, EVP Business and Legal Affairs for Sony/ATV; David Kokakis, EVP/Head of Business and Legal Affairs, Business Development and Digital for UMPG; Clark Miller, EVP North America Operations for Warner/Chappell; Neville Quinlan, MD of peermusic Canada; and David Renzer, Chairman/CEO of Spirit Music Group.

“Our publisher members on the SXWorks Board are some of the most progressive and effective global leaders in the business today,” said Huppe. “They bring a wealth of insight and experience to the venture. We look forward to working with them closely to guide the development of SXWorks.”

SXWorks is a music-rights-management company that offers admin and back-office services for publishers to support multiple licensing configurations. It was formed when SoundExchange acquired the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA) in May.
