JAMES TO FILL NEWLY CREATED ISLAND ROLE

Cindy James is joining the team at Island Records as VP of Streaming and Playlist Strategy. James will report directly to EVP/GM Eric Wong in her newly created role and will work with all digital streaming partners.

Before joining Island, James spent 10 years at Sony Music, where her most recent role as Senior Director of Streaming & Playlisting Strategy found her working on subscriber growth initiatives and advertising technology strategies, while also leading the Spotify and Pandora account management teams.

We wonder what playlist she'll listen to in an attempt to soften the blow of being featured on this unfortunate site.
