WILL GETTING TIMBERLAKED KEEP SHEERAN OFF THE SHOW?

Will Ed Sheeran sit out the upcoming Grammy Awards show after being Timberlaked? Wonderers are wondering why the Secret Grammy Committee made the conscious decision to leave Sheeran, a Warner U.K. signing, out of consideration for the highest-profile awards, while labelmate Bruno Mars got everything.

That Committee, which selects the final nominees from a list of the top vote-getters (as Neil Portnow stated in an interview with us), clearly acted with intention in excluding Sheeran from the top three categories. Will he retaliate by declining to perform on Music's Biggest Night, as Justin Timberlake continues to do since being similarly slighted in 2013?

In a year when the Committee made a lot of good choices, why not Sheeran? His exclusion from Album, Record and Song of the Year—he's nominated only for Pop Vocal Album and Pop Solo Performance—despite his dominant showing in the marketplace was arguably the most egregious of the most recent Grammy snubs.

He had the biggest-streaming song ever on Spotify (more than 1.31 billion) with "Shape of You" (which has also notched 2.5m sales), his Divide has done 2.31m+ in SPS and he continues to be a hit machine.

You'll recall that after Timberlake's commercial giant The 20/20 Experience didn't get recognized in any top categories in 2013, the artist refused to perform—despite seven noms in genre categories—and hasn’t been on the Grammy stage since. Will we see a similar disappearing act from Sheeran?
