U.K. CHARTS: RCA HAS FAITH AT #1

RCA artist Paloma Faith has scored her first #1 album with fourth set, The Architect, hitting the Official Albums top spot on 40k combined sales—it's the second albums #1 for the Sony U.K. label this year under the leadership of David Dollimore.

Dollimore has helmed A&R for The Architect, which follows two #2 albums and a #9 debut for Faith. It's the best first week sales of her career. Sam Smith sits just 900 sales behind at #2 with The Thrill of it All (Capitol) still enjoying strong sales three weeks after release. Decca duo Ball & Boe are one step behind at #3 with Together Again.

The second highest new albums entry is from Britain’s Got Talent winner, pianist Tokio Myers, who enters at #4 with debut, Our Generation (Syco).

Morrissey, who recently struck a distribution deal with BMG, is at #5 with his 13th Top 10 record, Low in High School. The album is #1 on the vinyl and cassette charts.

Over on the Official Singles Chart, Camila Cabello f/Young Thug 's “Havana” (Syco) is holding on to #1 for the fourth week. The track sits 8k combined sales ahead of closest competitor, “Anywhere” (Atlantic) by Rita Ora.

“Silence” (Ministry of Sound) by Marshmello f/Khalid rises two places to #3, while Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” (Atlantic) is back up to #4. Smith closes the Top 5 with “Too Good at Goodbyes."

Other tracks making an impact in the Top 20 include “Blinded By Your Grace” (#Merky) by Stormzy f/MNEK at #7,Selena Gomez & Marshmello rise eight places with “Wolves” (Interscope) at #9 and NF climbs to #19 with “Let You Down” (Caroline).
