DASH RADIO TEAMS WITH ICE CUBE

Dash Radio—the popular app and digital radio broadcasting platform—has announced a new partnership with Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz’s 3-on-3 basketball league called BIG 3, for an exclusive pop-up station called BIG3 RADIO.

They’ll be activating the channel this week, leading up to the league’s finale in Las Vegas on 8/26. The station will feature live broadcasts, player interviews, the "BIG3 Show" with sports writer Oliver Maroney and of course, lots of dope music.

BIG3 is a half-court, 3-on-3 basketball league created by Cube, where some of the most popular stars like Gary Payton, Kenyon Martin, Charles Oakley and more continue to compete and flex their skills.

“Basketball and Hip Hop have gone together since the latter’s inception, the culture of one moves into the other. We couldn’t just bring in a DJ and put him in a corner,” said Cube of the venture, “Dash Radio was a natural fit. It’s not only a good way into the fans ears, but the brands’ forward-thinking mentality of ‘what’s next?’."

The station will feature songs hand-selected by players and led by the expertise of Dash Radio’s founder and resident sports fan DJ Skee who adds, “If you’ve seen the BIG3, you know the music that’s playing brings so much more to the table than just background noise—it’s electric. It fuels the crowd, it fuels the players—the right song could set off an entire arena. That’s what we’re looking to capture with BIG3 Radio.”
