DAVE EAST ON THE RISE

Chart watchers have noted another significant breakthrough in progress, as rapper Dave East unleashes his long-awaited full length album and major label debut Paranoia: A True Story via Def Jam, and immediately launching to #1 on iTunes.

East has a considerable fan base already but even more than that has straight up respect as an MC; the East Harlem native is Nas’s protégé afterall, and has been long-hailed as possessing the definitive "New York Sound" of hip hop. He was named to the XXL Freshman Class list in 2016, a year after releasing his first mixtape Hate Me Now.

As for East's looks, well, even supermodel Tyra Banks has suggested he could have a career on the runway. She also suggested we could have a career as a runway. Ba-dum.
