MENDESTINY

At Barclays Center in Brooklyn, a large group of people converges around a large plaque summarizing the large success of Island's Shawn Mendes, whose latest single, "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back," is massive at radio and elsewhere.

The plaque, which is said to be visible from space, spotlights the artist's 8m global adjusted albums, 8 billion streams and seven consecutvie platinum singles. And if you put legs on it, it makes a fine poker table.

Seen not taking Steve Bannon's call are (l-r) Island's Jenna LoMonaca, Republic EVP Promo Gary Spangler, Island VP Marketing Sharon Timure, Republic's Toby Russell, International exec Steven Rowen, Island boss David Massey, Island's Julie Kubacki, Mendes, SVP Promo Manny Simon, EVP/GM Eric Wong, manager Andrew Gertler, SVP Commerce Kevin Lipson, SVP Promo Mike DePippa and Tour Marketing person Chris McKay.
