U.K. CHARTS:
GLEN CAMPBELL FANS SAY ADIOS

Calvin Harris has secured his eighth #1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart as “Feels” (Columbia) ends the latest reign of “Despacito” (Polydor) at the helm. Over on albums, fans are honoring the late Glen Campbell with his final studio album, Adios (UMC), reaching a new peak of #2 today.

With “Feels,” Harris has the second most #1s of any British male soloist, behind Cliff Richard who boasts 14. The track is one of six from Jason Iley's Sony in the Top 10 today.

“Despacito” is at its lowest chart position in 13 weeks at #4 as its accelerated sales-to-stream rate starts to make a significant difference. French Montana f/Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” (Black Butter) reaches a new peak at #2, followed by “Wild Thoughts” (Black Butter/We The Best) by DJ Khaled at #3. Warner Bros. Dua Lipa earns her highest chart placement yet as “New Rules” climbs four places to #5, thanks in part to a discounted price on iTunes of 59p.

Again, the Official Charts midweek update didn’t include streaming data from Spotify, where Sony’s Spanish remix of Enrique Iglesias’ “Subeme La Radio” (RCA) featuring Sean Paul and Matt Terry has yet to catch fire in the U.K. It’s currently at #4 on iTunes and #10 on the Official Charts (#3 midweek). Rudimental and James Arthur are up two places with “Sun Comes Up” (Atlantic) at #6. The other Sony singles in the Top 10 are Sigala and Ella Eyre with "Came Here for Love" (Ministry of Sound) at #8 and Little Mix with "Power" (Syco) at #9.

The Script's “Rain” (Sony) is up 14 places to #17, while the Jax Jones, Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don collab “Instruction” (Polydor) flies six places to #16. Don, a priority for Polydor, is #3 on Spotify's New Music Friday U.K. playlist today—where she's also the cover star—with new single "Hurtin' Me" f/French Montana (54 London/Polydor).

Over on the Official Albums Chart, it’s the lowest-selling week of 2017 so far as Ed Sheeran spends his 15th non-consecutive run at #1 with ÷ (Atlantic) on just shy of 10k sales. Campbell rises 11 places to #2 with his 64th and final studio record Adios—improving its earlier peak of #3.

Def Leppard’s 30th anniversary reissue of Hysteria (UMC/Virgin) is the highest new entry at #14, followed by Black Grape with their first album for 20 years, Pop Voodoo (UMC), at #15.
