DOWNTOWN BOLSTERS LONDON OFFICE

Downtown has secured two big hires in Blighty as former Sony/ATV VP of A&R, Daniel Lloyd Jones, joins as SVP, Global Creative Services and Head of U.K. A&R, while Jacque O’Leary leaves behind her role as Creative Director at Roc Music Publishing for a Senior A&R Manager title.

Jones and O’Leary will be based at Downtown’s London office with Downtown Music UK MD Roberto Neri, reports MBW.

Jones spent five years at Sony/ATV and was brought over from EMI as part of the acquisition in 2012. During his tenure at the publisher, he signed and worked with Sigrid, Stefflon Don, Pendulum, Taio Cruz, Plan B and PJ Harvey. He also manages Pixie Geldof.

O’Leary joined Roc Nation’s publishing JV with Warner/Chappell in 2015 and previously worked at Sony/ATV and EMI. She is tasked with signing new songwriting talent and developing Downtown’s roster of songwriters, producers and artists in Blighty.

Andrew Bergman
, Downtown Chief Operating Officer, said: “We have no doubt [Daniel and Jacque] will add tremendous value to our extraordinary roster of songwriters, artists and producers.

“The U.K. continues to be one of the most vibrant music markets in the world, and Justin and I are especially thrilled to have them join Roberto Neri in our London office where our mission has been to develop a world-class client services offering.”
