NEW U.K. DEALS: BECKY HILL JOINS POLYDOR

After securing a publishing deal with Sony/ATV, British artist Becky Hill has signed to UMG U.K. label Polydor ahead of new music in August. She was previously with Parlophone after reaching the semi-finals of The Voice in 2012. Elsewhere, upcoming Coventry band FEET are now being represented by Q Prime management and Yala Records, and DJ Toddla T has signed an exclusive songwriting deal with independent publisher Sentric Music.

Hill will release new single “Unpredictable” on 8/9, according to Hamada Mania. While establishing herself as a successful songwriter and featured voice, working alongside Rudimental, Wilkinson, MNEK and Oliver Heldens, Hill has a U.K. #1 single in “Gecko (Overdrive)” with Heldens and Top 40 tracks with MK and Matoma. Management is Alex Martin at Crown Talent & Media Group.

The deal with Sentric covers Toddla T’s third full length album, Foreign Light, set for release on 7/28, as well as previously unpublished work. The LP features Wiley, Stefflon Don and Addis Pablo (son of dub legend Augustus Pablo).

Finally, indie rock five-member band FEET are now managed by Tara Richardson at Q Prime and have signed a deal with independent label Yala Records (launched by Maccabees guitarist Felix White). Their latest release “Petty Thieving” has just hit 30k plays on Spotify.
