FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Arcade Fire’s first album for Columbia, Everything Now, zooms to #1 at iTunes upon its release, making it one of five new titles on the albums chart this flipover Friday.

The Montreal band’s fifth album overall is their first release since 2013’s Reflektor. Coincidentally, the fifth album from Manchester Orchestra, A Black Mile to the Surface (Loma Vista)—currently #3—joins them this week. This story is now brought to you by the number 5.

Every Mile Mattered (Sparrow/Capitol), the first full-length album in 15 years from Christian singer Nichole Nordeman can be found at #10. It is—surprise, surprise—her fifth album.

The debut from Chicago rapper Vic Mensa, The Autobiography (Roc Nation/Def Jam), has grown to #8, while Cage the Elephant’s Unpeeled (RCA) slides to #12. And, of course, it’s their fifth album. Which reminds us to replace the fifth we keep next to the coffee machine.

Amine’s Good For You (CLBN/Republic) is #15 at iTunes, but it’s the top debut at Apple Music, currently squatting at #54. (It has since moved up to #20).

Anthony Brown & group therapy, Alice Cooper and Joe Nichols also have new albums in the Top 20 at iTunes.

On the iTunes songs chart, Thomas Rhett's new Valory/BMLG single, "Unforgettable," has cracked the Top 10; it's the #2 country song as well. Also climbing the chart quickly today are Future f/Nicki Minaj's "You Da Baddest" (A1/Freebandz/Epic) and Kesha's "Learn to Let Go" (Kemosabe/RCA).
