SONY LEGACY KEEPS JAMMING WITH JIMI

Sony Music will continue to partner with Experience Hendrix, curating and distributing the Jimi Hendrix catalog and archives. The two have been in business together since 2009.

The renewal of the SME/Legacy Recordings/Experience Hendrix partnership will provide additional support for the Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation. The park opened in Seattle in June.

Most recently, Legacy/Experience Hendrix has released the albums Freedom: Atlanta Pop Festival and Machine Gun: The Fillmore East First Show 12/31/69 plus been involved in the film Jimi Hendrix Experience: Electric Church, the Grammy-winning video Hendrix: Band of Gypsys, and the Emmy-winning doc Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train A-Comin'.
