Jay-Z offers up a cultural history lesson about Jamaica, woven into the backdrop of his new short film for "BAM," the 4:44 track featuring Damian Marley, which debuted on Tidal today.
The six-minute video piece features dialogue outtakes of Jay's recent trip to the country along with gorgeously shot scenes with the music, as he walks the streets with "Jr. Gong" Marley while the reggae icon discussed the foundations of Jamaican music and lifestyle with him.
"We're whistles, the wind go through us, and we make the noise," Jay explains about the unique task of being an artist.
Jay-Z's thirteenth studio album 4:44 bowed at #1 this week on the HITS SPS Chart.
