SPRING'S NEXT STEP

Fresh off the release of buzzing film Baby Driver (and its splashy Columbia soundtrack), Spring Aspers has been promoted to Head of Music at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Aspers, who most recently served as EVP Music Creative Affairs, will now will oversee all music-related projects within the company's film labels.

Before joining the Sony team in 2009, Aspers had launched the soundtrack department at Island Def Jam, where she helped produce soundtracks for films like 2 Fast 2 Furious, Jackass and Spider-Man. And even before her stretch at IDJ, she already had titles like the Coen brothers' The Big Lebowski and the Ice Cube-led Next Friday under her belt.

In sum, she's pretty badass.
