NOTTING HILL BROADENS HORIZONS

Publisher Notting Hill Music has bolstered its L.A. operations with the launch of a management company and a label for singles. The new ventures will be led by A&R vet Ken Komisar as President—last seen on these pages launching Tennman Records with Justin Timberlake—and Notting Hill Chairman Andy McQueen, reports Music Week.

Komisar started his career at Atlantic before joining Sony for 15 years. He also worked with Michael Jackson for five years as VP of A&R at the star’s MJJ Music. McQueen moved to L.A. from London in 2014 and has a history in management (The Damned) and NTV Music.

The roster of Notting Hill Music Management includes British singer/songwriter Sam Gray, U.S. rapper Dominique Young Unique and U.K. producer/songwriter/musician Patrick Patrikios. On the label side, the first three single releases will be “Top Down” by Brown & Gray, “True Love” by Juic3box f/Alice France and “Whiplash” by Phr33Lnch.

Founded in London, Notting Hill Music also has boots on the ground in Nashville, where Ginny Johnson is building its publishing activities.
