PANDORA RAPS HELLO BROOKLYN

Pandora is bringing Nas, Biz Markie (pictured), Young M.A and Dave East to New York this summer for its Pandora Sounds Like You: NYC event at Brooklyn Steel. The free concert will be held 7/19.

A week before the show, on 7/12, listeners can tune into the Pandora Sounds Like You: NYC mixtape, curated by Mass Appeal, that features a selection of hip-hop’s greatest hits and anthems made famous in the five boroughs over the past three decades.

“This event is a natural extension of the Sounds Like You campaign which was created to highlight the hyper personal music experience on Pandora,” said Jeff Zuchowski, vice president of artist marketing at Pandora. “The popularity of these artists and their music on Pandora is a true testament to the power of hip-hop.”

Nas has more than a billion spins on Pandora; Young M.A drew great crowds at Pandora’s SXSW activation; and East’s weekly station adds are largely from fans in New York City. Harlem native Biz Markie is a New York City legend.
