Grammy-winning producer/writer Dave Cobb has been a bona fide Nashville heavyweight for some time, but this week he hit a new milestone—he's the producer on four of the Top Five country albums: Zac Brown Band's Welcome Home (Southern Ground/Atlantic), Chris Stapleton's new From A Room, Volume 1 and 2015 giant Traveller (both via Mercury Nashville) and Wheeler Walker, Jr.'s provocative, star-studded Ol' Wheeler (Pepperhill).
Much like the esteemed artists noted above, Cobb—a 2015 Producer of the Year Grammy nominee, Country Album winner for Traveller and Americana Album winner for Jason Isbell's Something More Than Free—sports an impressive and very manly beard.
