MILEY GETS "INSPIRED"

Miley Cyrus continues to morph before our eyes. In conjunction with Pride Month, She’s just dropped “Inspired,” a world-weary, country-leaning track about finding unity in a sea of divisiveness–a pretty fair assessment of Earth, circa 2017. On behalf of the new track, Miley will make a donation to her Happy Hippie Foundation, which she formed in 2014 to support vulnerable youth, particularly in the LGBTQ community.

“Inspired” comes on the heels of her recent “Malibu” single, which has earned more than 100m streams and is currently #18 at Top 40; and her appearance at last weeks One Love Manchester benefit. Listen to it here.

Artists are fighting the dire state of the universe with awareness and altruism. After organizing and performing at last week's One Love Manchester benefit, Ariana Grande re-released the 2015 singled “One Last Time” on iTunes–with all proceeds benefiting the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, while Sia has earmarked proceeds from her new single, “Free Me,” to the #endHIV Campaign.

Katy Perry is in a charitable mood as well. The David Lynch Foundation, together with the fundraising platform Omaze is launching a sweepstakes campaign for a “once-in-a-lifetime VIP experience” with Katy, along with a photo shoot and makeup session with the singer and VIP access at one of her concerts.

The David Lynch Foundation supports the use Transcendental Meditation for victims of domestic violence, veterans suffering from PTSD, and underserved urban youth.
