Rapper Lil Yachty has inked a pub deal with Universal Music Publishing. The pact was shepherded by pubco ruler Jody Gerson, VP Creative Walter Jones and A&R exec Brandra Ringo.
Yachty's Quality Control/Motown/Capitol album Teenage Emotions looks set to debut near the top of this week's SPS chart. He's seen in the photo above with attorney Uwonda Carter, Jones, Ringo and Quality Control's Coach K, shortly before they dropped anchor and pointed the boat toward the Bahamas.
"Lil Yachty has proven to be a standout recording artist and songwriter, with a talent for delivering songs with catchy hooks," noted Gerson. "He's brave and unapologetic about his artistry. We're happy to be working with Coach K and Pee on another great artist from the Quality Control family."
