U.K. UNITES FOR ONE LOVE (UPDATE)

ABC will telecast Ariana Grande’s benefit concert One Love Manchester in the U.S. on Sunday. BBC Worldwide, has hooked up with networks in 38 countries as of Friday morning, rendering One Love Manchester a global event.

Demand for tickets to the benefit concert at Emirates Old Trafford has been stratospheric, with Ticketmaster reporting 140k fans online and searching. Robbie Williams, Black Eyed Peas and Little Mix have been added to the bill, and Live Nation, BBC, Uber and others are uniting to ensure the gig at the 21k-capacity venue goes without a hitch.

UMG (home of Grande's label, Republic), has pledged $500k in support of the event. "The Universal Music Group global family is proud to stand with Ariana Grande and its other performing artists in their support for the victims and families affected by the Manchester attack with a combined donation of $500,000 to the 'We Love Manchester Emergency Fund,'" reads a company statement.

Live Nation are underwriting the cost of the event and producing it through Festival Republic in association with SJM Concerts. A Manchester United football match planned for Sunday has been moved forward to accommodate the concert. Funds raised go to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund which was set up to aid grieving families and victims of the horrific attack at Grande’s Manchester Arena show last week. Uber is also getting involved, pledging a donation equal to all fares taken to and from the concert, while secondary websites have blocked resale of tickets.

Broadcasters have cleared their schedules to give the event the highest amount of publicity possible—BBC One and BBC radio coverage will be broadcast live, and also simulcast on Capital Radio networks. The Beeb will be the host broadcaster for international television networks.

Streaming options are aplenty: the concert can be seen online at Grande's Facebook and YouTube channels. Other streaming partners include Twitter, Apple, Viacom and iHeartMedia.

Alongside those mentioned above, the superstar line-up includes Grande, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus,Pharrell Williams, Take That and Niall Horan. The Oasis reunion rumour started after Taboo Nawasha from Black Eyed Peas tweeted a photo of the gig poster and tagged Oasis. However, Noel Gallagher's estranged brother Liam has rubbished reports—he's playing Germany festival Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring this weekend.

All those that attended the Manchester Arena gig have been offered free tickets as long as they register. That registration was opened up again today after Ticketmaster had trouble verifying all original bookings. A statement reads: Ticketmaster was unsurprisingly met with remarkable demand for One Love Manchester tickets we had on sale this morning – 140,000 fans were on the website and our call centre was buzzing.

With over 450,000 searches on our site for One Love Manchester over the last 24 hours, demand was always going to be extremely high. We understand that there are a number of fans who didn’t receive an email this morning with regards to free tickets for One Love Manchester. We worked through the night and verified thousands of original bookings although there were some we could not verify.

We want to give all fans who were at the show, regardless of where they bought their tickets, every opportunity to register for One Love Manchester, so we have opened up the registration again today, until 2pm.

We would like to reassure any fans that were at the show, that they will receive a free ticket for One Love Manchester, provided we can verify their initial booking. We thank fans for their patience as we continue to process the registrations.
