BIGGIE, TUPAC, DIDDY DOCS ALL HITTING NEXT MONTH

June is shaping up as a big month for hip-hop documentaries, as A&E announced air dates for two-parter Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G. (6/28-29) and the six-part series Who Killed Tupac? (first episode set for 6/29).

Additionally, Live Nation released the trailer for Can’t Stop Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story, documenting the career of Sean Combs, which Live Nation Productions’ Heather Parry co-produced with Combs. Apple will have exclusive rights to the doc for a year following its 6/25 premiere on Apple Music.

The first authorized Biggie doc will feature interviews with his mother Voletta Wallace and widow Faith Evans, as well as Combs, Jay Z, Nas and members of the Junior M.A.F.I.A. Biggie’s murder is also explored in Can’t Stop Won’t Stop.
