Logic made quite the entrance yesterday afternoon, bursting onto the Kimmel outdoor stage from the streets of Hollywood, while performing "Black Spiderman" f/Damian Lemar Hudson (who was donning his very own Spiderman costume). Watch here.
The Def Jam star's new album, Everybody—up against Chris Stapleton's "From a Room" (Mercury Nashville)—will vie for the #1 chart position this Friday.
"This album is the fight for equality of all man, woman and child, regardless of race, religion, color, creed and sexual orientation," he urged before delivering an enthusiastically energetic performance. "I just wanna have some fun; come on and join me."
Later, Logic presented Kimmel (the father of a brand new baby boy) with an Everybody onesie in the alley behind the studio. Kimmel was hesitant to accept the gift, as it seemed to smell like it had already been soiled, until he remembered who his neighbors were and realized that said alley also runs behind the HITS building.
At this point, the race between Logic and Stapleton is too close to call, as both artists are looking at forecasts around 200k. Stay tuned for updates on this nail-biter.
