PLATINUM IS YOUR COLOR

Capitol Nashville superstar Keith Urban celebrates his ninth consecutive platinum album, for 2016's RIPCORD, with UMG Nashville chief Mike Dungan and prexy Cindy Mabe and manager Gary Borman of Borman Entertainment. And at the moment he realized his photo would be running on this website, he wished he had an actual ripcord to pull.

Urban is only the second country artist to have every album certified platinum or multi-platinum. He is also one of only two country artists having a 2016 album certified platinum. He also became the first male solo country artist to have a #1 all-genre album in the U.S., Australia and Canada.

The album has fired no fewer than four singles to #1 at Country radio, giving Urban 22 career #1s at the format.

His worldwide streams, meanwhile, have passed the 3.4 billion mark, with 160m alone for his smash "Blue Ain't Your Color."

Oh, and he's married to Nicole Kidman. But we're sure your life's great too.
