GRAMMY MUSEUM, FOUNDATION MERGE

The Grammy Museum and Grammy Foundation are merging. Foundation VP Scott Goldman (pictured) is taking over as Executive Director of the newly expanded Grammy Museum. Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli is getting the title of Founding Executive Director and will focus on domestic and international market expansion, business alliances and development strategies for the museum.

"This integration will allow us to combine our resources and the expertise of our dedicated staffs to increase the impact of our shared vision: to cultivate a greater understanding of the history and cultural significance of music, inspire its appreciation, and advance its future," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy.

Goldman will oversee development, programming, curatorial services, and strategic planning for the museum, a joint partnership with AEG. Santelli has overseen expansion of the museum in Mississippi and Nashville, with upcoming projects in New Jersey and China.

Other staffing changes include the promotion of Museum Deputy Executive Director Rita George to Chief Operating Officer; Wayne Zahner will serve as Chief Financial Officer and Michael Sticka will serve as Controller for the Grammy Museum Foundation.

The Foundation works in partnership year-round with The Recording Academy to bring attention to issues such as the value and impact of music and arts education and the urgency of preserving cultural heritage. Over the last year, it has provided 20 grants totaling $300k to facilitate research, archiving and preservation projects.
