Even though Coachella officially kicks off tomorrow, the rooms at the La Quinta are already filling with industryites and the pre-festival drinks are flowing. As for the first news to spill from Indio-based lips, Columbia pop songstress Rachel Platten apparently has a new agency deal with none other than CAA.
Platten, who’s managed by Ben Singer and Josh Tangney at SMG Entertainment, is expected to release a new album later this year.
The “Fight Song” singer’s debut single—now three-times platinum—served as her breakout hit in 2015. It was followed by “Stand by You,” which has since been certified platinum. Both tracks were included on album Wildfire—the major label debut that dropped at the start of 2016.
