Over 500 limited-edition releases are set to land on Record Store Day’s 10th anniversary in the U.K. on 4/22, with gems from The Cure (Polydor), Pink Floyd (Kscope/Rhino) and The Smiths (Rhino) joining the already announced David Bowie set.
The Cure’s Acoustic Hits will arrive for the first time on vinyl, alongside a previously unheard of version of The Smiths’ “The Boy With The Thorn In His Side.”
A three-track cassette single of Flowers in the Dirt demos from Paul McCartney (UMC) is amongst other exciting offerings, which include two from Pink Floyd: a 50th anniversary edition picture disc, London 1966 /1967 (Kscope), featuring the first-ever studio recordings from the classic ’60s lineup, and Interstellar Overdrive (Rhino, vinyl) an 11-minute-long, previously unheard recording from ’66.
There’s also an LP featuring the original track listing for The Sex Pistols’ God Save The Sex Pistols (UMC) before it became the seminal Never Mind the Bollocks, a six-track Polydor LP featuring tracks recorded at Sting’s recent performance at the reopening of The Bataclan in Paris and a 10th anniversary gold vinyl edition of The Cribs’ Men's Needs, Women’s Needs, Whatever (Wichita).
