Fresh off being sent to radio, Lorde’s “Green Light” (Lava/Republic) is the week’s Biggest Mover on the Shazam USA Top 100, rising 181 spaces to #20. The track’s rise was nearly as strong in the U.K. where it was up 154 slots.
Rihanna’s “Desperado” (Westbury Road/Roc Nation/Def Jam) benefits from its inclusion in HBO’s Girls, rising 120 slots to #23. Never mind how creepy the scene was right before the needle dropped on the track.
Another TV sync beneficiary is Leon Bridges’ “River” (Columbia), which Reese Witherspoon’s character played on her car’s stereo in HBO’s Big Little Lies. Unlike most syncs, Bridges’ name was visibly displayed on the CD player’s readout.
Remy Ma’s diss track "ShETHER" (RNG/EMPIRE) has thumbs wagging—it’s up 107 slots to #94.
Zedd & Alessia Cara’s “Stay” is the Biggest Mover on the U.K. Top 100, hitting #19, just ahead of Julia Michaels’ “Issues.”
