ELVIS DURAN GETS A HOLLYWOOD STAR

Legendary radio personality Elvis Duran will be honored Thursday with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

One of iHeartMedia’s biggest stars, Duran’s syndicated radio program is heard in more than 80 markets and is among of the most listened-to Top-40 morning shows in the nation.

Duran has been on the air for more than three decades. Before he went national in 2009, he worked as a host and program director for WIOQ in Philadelphia and KBTS in Austin. He’s also hosted at Atlanta’s Z-93 and KRBE in Houston. In 1996, he joined Z100 in New York, where his syndicated show is now based.

On hand to celebrate the unveiling on Vine Street across from the Capitol Records Building, will be Epic Records' CEO LA Reid and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

The ceremony will take place 11:30 PST Thursday at 1717 Vine Street, across the street from the Capitol Records Tower.
