THE DEATH OF PRINT JOURNALISM: COMPLIMENTARY AT THE MOSCOW RITZ-CARLTON

Capitol megastar Katy Perry graces the cover of our most recent print edition. Perry has stormed out of the gate with new single "Chained to the Rhythmî" f/Skip Marley; the song, which Perry performed in a visually sumptuous (and cleverly political) Grammy segment, has achieved the biggest radio launch of her career, with 300+ adds first week, and is selling and streaming vigorously. The Tower Team is celebrating, though we imagine neither they nor Perry want to be "Chained" to the cover of our rusty rag.

Columbia (our Contents Page VIP) had a superlative Grammy night, leading labels in trophies thanks to an armload of top-tier wins for Adele (whose grace onstage was as dazzling as her talent) and victories for Beyoncé, the late, great David Bowie, The Chainsmokers and more. It marks a fitting finale for Rob Stringer's tenure as chief, prior to his anointment as Sony Music topper. Nonetheless, this Contents shout-out is one award Big Red would probably prefer not to accept. Who's next?
