GOOGLE, YOUTUBE PREDICT BRITS WINNERS

Ahead of the BRIT Awards in Blighty Wednesday night, Google Play Music and YouTube have predicted the likely winners according to streaming data. If that were how winners were decided, Google predicts David Joseph’s Universal as the winningest label in select categories, while YouTube draws a tie between UMG and Jason Iley’s Sony.

With 23 nominations, this year is expected to be Sony’s steal. Max Lousada’s Warner follows with 16 nods and Universal with 15 in the full list of nominees. Both sets of predictions have Little Mix (pictured) taking home the Best British Group prize.

In Google's list, Universal has four, Sony takes three and Warner two. For YouTube, Sony and Universal get three mentions each, while Warner and indie act Stormzy have one each.
