U.K. MIDWEEKS: RAG'N'BONE MAN OUTSELLS TOP 20

Columbia’s rising star Rag’n’Bone Man is heading for #1 on the Official Albums Chart with his debut, Human. After notching up 70k combined sales over just three days, the set has sold more than the rest of the Top 20 combined at midweek stage.

Human is one of nine new entries in the chart this week. In second is British rock band Thunder with their 11th album Rip It Up (Ear Music). Last week’s #1 from Elbow, Little Fictions (Polydor), slides to #3.

British rap star Nines, signed to indie XL, dropped his surprise debut album One Foot Out on Friday and is currently at #4. Can he hold the midweek peak? Rounding off the Top 5 is the La La Land soundtrack (Polydor).

Over on the Official Singles Chart, Katy Perry’s “Chained to the Rhythm” (Virgin EMI) is currently the highest new entry at #6. Ed Sheeran is still #1 with “Shape of You” (Atlantic), while Rag’n’Bone Man knocks “Castle on the Hill” down to #3 with the title track from his aforementioned debut album.

“You Don’t Know Me” by Jax Jones f/Raye (Polydor) declines one place to #4, while ZAYN/Taylor Swift’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” (Virgin EMI) rises four places to #5.
