POST-GRAMMYS, METALLICA ANNOUNCES TOUR

James Hetfield is off to test microphones across the country starting 5/10 in Baltimore as Metallica embarks on a 25-city North American tour. They’ll play the Rose Bowl 7/29.

Live Nation is producing WorldWired 2017, the band's first proper North American tour since 2009. Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat will be the main support acts; Lady Gaga will not be there.

Legacy Fan Club members get first crack at tickets at 9am local time Tuesday; Met Club members have a starting time of 11am.

The public onsale is Friday, at 10am; each ticket purchased includes a copy of the Hardwired...To Self-Destruct (Blackened Recordings), available as a physical CD or a digital download.

Additionally, Metallica has formed All Within My Hands Foundation to raise money to support national, local and Bay Area charities that the individual band members support; it will also continue to donate to music education programs and local food banks. Through a collaboration with Crowdrise, the band encourages fans to make a donation when purchasing tickets to the upcoming shows.
