CLIVE DOC TO BOW AT TRIBECA FILM FEST WITH CELEBRATORY CONCERT

Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives, a documentary celebrating the career of the industry icon, will premiere at a Radio City Music Hall event for the Tribeca Film Festival on 4/19, followed by a concert with performances from Aretha Franklin, Earth, Wind & Fire and Jennifer Hudson, among others.

The film, based on Davis' 2013 autobiography, was directed by Chris Perkel and produced by Michael Bernstein of Scott Free Productions and exec-produced by Ridley Scott, Mary Lisio, IM Global's Stuart Ford, David Schulhof and Deborah Zipser.

"Honoring Clive Davis and his unwavering commitment to music and creativity is the perfect way to open our 16th annual festival," said Tribeca’s Paula Weinstein. "With special live performances by some of the most talented artists of our time, it will be an unforgettable night to celebrate the arts and Clive."

Clive's "is an inspiring story that's sure to leave you with a smile on your face, a tug at your heart and a playlist of hits forever stuck in your head," said director Perkel.

The Tribeca Film Fest runs 4/19-4/30. In the near term, of course, Clive is preparing for his gigantic annual Grammy confab; our invitation was undoubtedly lost in the mail.
