STAPLETON COVER GOES VIRAL
A young woman’s video of her father singing Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” has seemingly had an affect on Stapleton’s Traveler and his version of the George Jones and David Allan Coe hit. Stapleton’s Mercury Nashville debut raced up to #4 on the iTunes albums chart while the single peaked at #11 over the weekend.
The video, shot in the cab of a truck, has been viewed more than 6.2m times on YouTube. The Nashville press has jumped on board as well, praising the quality of dad’s vocal prowess.
