TOWER TAPS TEMSKE FOR STREAMING STRATEGY

In a sign of changing times, Jeff Temske has been upped to SVP heading Capitol's newly created Streaming Strategy and Research department. He'll report to COO Michelle Jubelirer, who made the announcement.

In the new post,Temske will head the company's "global efforts to successfully launch and expand the growth of its artists on key streaming platforms," as the announcement has it, and work with Sales, Marketing, Digital Marketing, International, Promotion and A&R departments daily, and will make specialplaylists for each departments.

Temske has also pledged get sleeve tattoos of the Spotify, Apple Music, iHeartradio, SoundCloud and Amazon logos.

"Jeff has been an extremely valuable member of our team since we began our resurgence four years ago, and his knowledge, abilities and hard work have contributed greatly to our success. He possesses a deep understanding of the streaming universe on a global level and his extensive background in research and analysis make him the ideal person to lead this important new department. I know that everyone at CMG joins me in congratulating Jeff on this well-deserved promotion."

Temske started his career at the Ann Arbor HQ of Borders Books in 2002 as a music buyer/vendor liaison; there he curated many playlists and then burned them to CD with custom artwork.
