DECK THE HALLS WITH PENTATONIX

RCA's Grammy-winning a cappella group Pentatonix will be throwing their very own (and first-ever) Christmas special, A Pentatonix Christmas, on 12/14 at 8pm ET/PT via NBC.

During the one-hour event, the quintet will perform holiday favorites, welcome guests appearances from Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson and enjoy some currently unannounced surprises.

The album A Pentatonix Christmas dropped 10/21, bowing in the Top 3 on HITS' Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart, and the music video for their version of beloved Leonard Cohen classic "Hallelujah" has earned about 29m views in just over a week. Shortly after release, the song went Top 3 on the overall iTunes chart; at press time, it sits at #27.

PTX's previous holiday set, That's Christmas to Me, which is currently double platinum, was also released early in Q4 (on 10/21/14). As winter approached and the gift-giving season heated up, that album continued to sell with more and more vehemence. That said, it will certainly be interesting to follow A Pentatonix Christmas over the coming weeks.

Stay tuned, and pass the THC-infused gingerbread cookies please.
