SATURDAY NIGHT’S ALRIGHT FOR SURVIVING

Attention Los Angeles music industry: Promotion and radio weasels are preparing to descend on Hollywood. Repeat: Promotion and radio weasels are about to descend on Hollywood. This is not a drill. It is, however, for a phenomenal cause. CBS Radio’s fourth annual We Can Survive concert, which benefits breast cancer research and awareness, will take place this Saturday (10/22) at the legendary Hollywood Bowl.

In his first concert since Superbowl 50, Bruno Mars will headline. The evening—hosted once again by 97.1 AMP Radio man Carson Daly—will also include performances from Ariana Grande, Charlie Puth, G-Eazy, Meghan Trainor, OneRepublic and Pitbull. G-Eazy will apparently be joined by Bebe Rexha and Marc E. Bassy for a chunk of his set; he's expected to perform hit “Me, Myself and I” with Rexha and singles "Some Kind of Drug and “You and Me” with Bassy.

That said, last year’s shindig featured a surprise set from Rihanna, and J Lo was the surprise guest in 2014. Will someone unannounced appear on stage this time around? Seems likely.

For every ticket sold, $2 will go to Young Survival Coalition. Keep in mind that the benefit has sold-out every year (including this one) and has garnered more than 430m social media impressions over the last two years. Basically, it’s bound to be a fantastic night that spreads an even better message.

Pro-tip: If you don’t have a parking pass, Uber, and if you do have a parking pass, still Uber (unless you want a bunion bigger than Donald Trump’s ego).

Also, be sure to wait at least a solid 30 minutes after the end of the last song to call your Uber (unless you want to wait in traffic more backed up than Trump’s face makes him look the majority of the time). May we suggest the Power House on Hollywood and Highland? Apparently, they have a drink that involves tequila and marshmallow fluff! What more could you want from your Saturday night?
