REVENUE CHART: SOMETHING YOU CAN BANK ON

What’s striking about these weekly updates is how little changes from one chart to the next, from The Chainsmokers’ stranglehold on #1 to the figure in the total-revenue column, which is a mere $81k less than the previous week.

But there is something new on the chart itself—a column showing the percentage of streaming revenue to total revenue for each track.

On-demand audio streams are calculated at an average of .00575 per stream; however, streams from the ad-supported tier are calculated at a lower rate. Track sales are calculated at 70% of retail, with 69-cent and other discount sales pricing factored in.
